Thomas Lannee from Intrastructures.net was kind enough to show Sandberg students around his Brussels-based design studio. He also showed us his “Yes! We’re Open” project and talked about “open design.” He promoted crowdsourcing and liked how “open” Apple was to letting developers create apps on their iPhone.
Sandberg students found this hard to believe. They didn’t take Thomas’s version of “open” for granted. Smart questions about the economic viability of crowdsourcing came up. As well as questions surrounding Apple’s so-called “openness.”
